New year, New Blog!!
Hello all!
We are the Artists Theatre school students of 2018.
Following on from last years' rehearsal blog for our production of 'Nell Gwynn', we have decided to relaunch it for our 2018 production.
This year, we will be performing 3 short plays from Noel Coward's 'Tonight at 8.30' all set in England, 1936. The three plays we will be performing are:
STILL LIFE - otherwise known as the film 'Brief Encounter', Still Life depicts the love affair between Laura and Alec in the refreshment room of Milford Junction station.
HANDS ACROSS THE SEA - a farcical, quick witted play based on mistaken identity set in the drawing room of the Gilpin's Mayfair flat.
RED PEPPERS - based on the musical and comedy duo Lily and George Pepper. We follow the couple backstage into their dressing room to see what happens OFF the stage.
We are now several weeks into rehearsals and time is speeding by!
Over the next few weeks, each cast member is going to write a blog describing their own personal journeys with ATS so far and how they are finding rehearsals plus a bit about the characters we are playing and why we think YOU should come and join us in July and see our show. We may even have some blogs or interviews from some of the talented backstage team too so keep your eyes peeled!
Add these dates to your diary now!! 19th, 20th and 21st July at Questors Theatre in Ealing...you don't want to miss out.
Join us next week when the first cast member, Graeme Sanders, will be taking over our blog.
